Short wave diathermy (orACP) is a treatment used to remove skin lesions. The procedure uses a alternating short wave, high frequency current which produces heat at the needle tip to destroy tissues and cauterises the blood vessels. Diathermy techniques have proven to be extremely ‘safe and precise’ way to treat many superficial skin abnormalities.
